Support grids

Support systems are available for all types of packing. They are easy to install with a minimum number of beams and welded attachments.
In addition to welded designs, snap-fit solutions are also available, saving installation time.

The wide product range meets any requirement and enables design optimisation.


SplitSupport support grids are designed for structured packing. The grids are installed on support rings welded to the column wall. Versions for flanged columns are available.
The grids are made in segments for installation through a manway. No welding is required when installing the support grids.
For special applications, support grids can be made from high-alloy materials.


Welded grids are available for structured packing with a specific surface area greater than 350 m2/m3. The grid design includes special plates to prevent premature flooding of the packing. These types of grids are installed on support rings or gussets welded to the column wall. For columns with a diameter greater than 3 m,  additional load-bearing beams with supports are required.
