SplitMix SMV mixer

Efficient mixing with minimal energy losses.

SMV mixers are used mainly in turbulent-flow applications, for example for mixing low-viscosity liquids or gases, dispersing immiscible liquids, contacting gases with liquids, and as mass-transfer devices.
Low-viscosity liquids (aqueous solutions, organic solvents and gases) are mixed over a very short distance using the SplitMix SMV mixer. The required number of mixing elements depends on the required mixture homogeneity, the ratio of volumetric flow rates of the feed streams, and the densities and viscosities of the streams being mixed.
The required degree of mixture homogeneity can be determined in consultation with the customer.
SMV mixers are used as spray evaporators for complete evaporation of liquid into superheated gas streams and uniform distribution of concentrations and temperatures in the gas stream.

Hydrocarbon processing: crude-oil desalting, dispersion of ammonia water and other applications.
